568 machines with at least 8 cores and 64 GB of memory, from $64 a month. Enough headroom to split one server into a stack of virtual machines you control.
Install Proxmox VE (free and open source), VMware ESXi or Hyper-V and carve the server into as many VMs as the memory allows. A host with 128 GB comfortably runs a dozen typical Linux VMs with room to spare, often for less than renting the same number of cloud instances.
Plan memory first: add up what each VM needs and leave about 10 percent for the hypervisor. Then make sure the disks can keep up, because many VMs hitting one drive is the most common bottleneck. NVMe or multiple SSDs make a noticeable difference here.
Common questions
Do you provide extra IP addresses for VMs?
Additional IPv4 addresses are arranged with the data center at or after checkout. Ask us before ordering if you need a specific block size.
Can I install Proxmox myself?
Yes. You get full root access. If Proxmox is not in the operating system list at checkout, install Debian and add Proxmox on top of it, which is a method Proxmox documents.

Pick a machine, choose your OS at checkout and pay for the first month. No setup contract, no annual lock-in.
